In addition to the Premier model, Tecno also announced three more Camon 30 members: Pro 5G model, 5G model, and Vanilla 4G model.
Techno Camon 30 Pro 5G
Like the Premier, the Tecno Camon 30 Pro 5G is powered by Dimensity 8200 Ultra. The main camera also has the same 50MP 1/1.56-inch sensor (also equipped with OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP selfie camera with autofocus. However, the 3x periscope has been discontinued and replaced with a 2MP depth sensor.
While the Pro doesn’t have an LTPO display like the Premier, its unique panel is still very good, being essentially the same size at 6.78 inches and with a 144Hz refresh rate. The resolution is 1,080 x 2,436px.
The phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 70W fast charging, the same as the Premier. It also has stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. There is an IR blaster on the top.
Techno Camon 30 5G
Tecno Camon 30 5G is powered by the Dimensity 7020 chipset, which is a refreshed version of the 930. The chip doesn’t seem to be able to drive the 6.78-inch display at a 144Hz refresh rate, so it settles for 120Hz. However, it’s still a FHD+ AMOLED panel.
At least this phone has a 50MP selfie camera with an autofocus lens and here also dual color temperature flash. As for the rear camera, it has different 50MP sensors in the main (1/1.57 inch) and optical image stabilization. But it’s not even ultrawide, just two low resolution helpers.
However, this phone retains some of the other features of the more premium models. This includes a 5,000mAh battery with 70W fast charging capability and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. IR remote control functionality is still included.
technocamon 30
The Tecno Camon 30 is essentially the same as the 5G model, except it uses the Helio G99 chipset, which only offers 4G connectivity. The 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display runs at the same 120Hz and has the same 5,000mAh/70W battery and Atmos-enabled stereo speakers.
Unfortunately, this means the camera situation is the same. His 50MP AF with flash on the front, 50MP OIS on the back and that’s it.
Unlike its sibling, this model has NFC, which is an odd difference, but one that gives it an advantage over the vanilla Camon 30.
Note that all three models come in two versions. One has a glass back and the other has a vegan leather back.
