FAQ page updated
CRD publishes several publications notice Found on the FAQ page for the 2023 reporting year. There are several important announcements regarding this year’s applications.
- Filers should not use the previous year’s template, as this format will be rejected by the system.
- Added a new data field to collect information about whether an employee worked remotely during the snapshot period.
- Labor contractors can no longer report race/ethnicity or gender as unknown. This was allowed because last year’s filing period was the first year for submitting information on labor contractors.
4th year of application
This is the fourth year that the CRD requires employers to submit compensation information. Please note that employers with 100 or more employees with at least one employee in California must submit a California Payroll Data Report annually.
Employers must submit employee data grouped by location, salary range (based on W-2 Box 5 income), EEO-1 job title, race/ethnicity, and gender. For each of these groups, employers must include the number of employees included, mean and median hourly wages, and total hours worked. Data submitted must reflect a single payroll period from October 1st to December 31st.
