ASUS Z790-AYW OC WIFI motherboard has been launched. It supports memory overclocking up to 8200+ MT/s. This model is designed with 1SPC dual DDR5 memory slot configuration, allowing DDR5-8200+ overclocking, which is slightly lower than the previously leaked 8400+ MT/s spec. The motherboard features boot, restart, and BIOS reset hardware buttons, as well as Q-CODE indicator lights to help hardware enthusiasts optimize memory overclocking. ASUS Z790-AYW OC WIFI has a black PCB with white heatsink, and features a 12 (60A)+1 (60A)+1 phase Dr.MOS power supply and EPS 8+4 pin CPU auxiliary power interface. It includes one alloy-reinforced PCIe Gen4x16 slot, two full-length PCIe Gen4x4 slots, and two PCIe Gen4x1 slots for a total of five PCIe slots.
For storage, the motherboard offers three PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 slots (two with physical specifications 22110 and one with 2280) and four SATA 3 interfaces. Network features include a Realtek 2.5Gb wired network port and a wireless network card with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 support. The integrated rear IO panel includes four USB 2.0 ports, two 5Gbps Type-A ports, two 10Gbps ports (one Type-A and one Type-C), and an HDMI port. Front IO features include a 10Gbps Type-C pinset, two 4-output 5Gbps pinsets, and two 4-output USB 2.0 pinsets. In addition, there is a reserved set of Thunderbolt (USB4) interface pins. The Z790-AYW WIFI W, the standard model of the “AYW” series, is priced at around $280 in the domestic market. The memory overclocking focused Z790-AYW OC WIFI is also expected to be in a similar price range.
