Goodwill is a great place to buy comfortable used clothing for people who want to save money instead of the high brand new prices.
Even if they can afford the price tag of a new item from a luxury brand, some people go to Goodwill for the fun of finding a bargain and the wholesome feeling of recycling old clothes and saving the planet.

It’s hard not to like Goodwill, even with the strange occurrences in some stores, such as employees refusing to sell merchandise.
But people were angry about a TikTok a woman made about Goodwill and felt she was exploiting the store.

One woman shared a video explaining the process of buying clothes from Goodwill and selling them to Plato’s Closet for a profit.
“Reselling clothing from the well-intentioned bin in Plato’s closet is a low-risk way to make a profit,” she captioned the video.

She explained in the video that Plato’s Closet took almost everything she bought from the Goodwill bin and left them with a sizable profit. [Goodwill] storage place […] That’s a profit of $77.54. ”
Some people were surprised by the person’s cunning, but wished he hadn’t spread the message about the expensive nature of the well-intentioned trash can. “Bin’s good intentions are rare, so don’t give away your secrets,” one person said.

But some people were seriously outraged by the post, complaining that Goodwill clothing is for people who can’t afford new clothes, not to make a profit. “[This is] Why do we cut off tags when donating things? It’s for people who can’t afford to go to the mall! ”
Some feared Goodwill would raise prices if resale became a trend. “Lady! You have to shop at Goodwill! If we put this out there, Goodwill will raise the prices!” they said.
