Vivo Y200e 5G is confirmed to be launched in India soon. The company also revealed the design and color options for its upcoming phone. Previous reports said the phone could be launched in the country later this month. Previous leaks have hinted at some important features that this phone might come with. The expected price of the model was also predicted earlier. This smartphone is expected to join the Vivo Y200 5G in the lineup that was announced in the country in October 2023.
Vivo India announced in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the Vivo Y200e 5G will be launched in India on February 22nd. Currently, the product page for the next device is also available on the company’s website. As per previous leaks, the phone has been teased with blue and orange color options and could be sold as Diamond Black and Saffron Delight shades.
The orange option of the Vivo Y200e 5G features a vegan leather finish and a stitch-like criss-cross pattern on the back panel. The blue version also has a textured finish, but is likely to have a plastic back instead of synthetic leather.
The triple rear camera system on the Vivo Y200e 5G is arranged vertically in separate circular units within a rectangular camera module. A small round LED flash unit is placed next to the camera unit. The back panel design is similar to the Vivo Y200 5G, except that it has a third camera instead of the Aura Light feature found on the latter model.
A tipster had earlier claimed that the Vivo Y200e 5G will be priced under Rs 20 million in India. 20,000. It was also hinted that it would come with 6GB and 8GB RAM options along with 128GB of onboard storage. RAM is virtually expandable up to 16GB.
Previous leaks also suggested that the Vivo Y200e 5G is likely to come with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ Samsung AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1200nits peak brightness. It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC and will ship with either Android 13 or Android 14-based UI. Vivo will also pack a 5,000mAh battery in the phone with support for 44W wired fast charging.
In terms of optics, the Vivo Y200e 5G sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor at the back, while the front camera is tilted to house a 16-megapixel sensor. The phone may also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The handset may weigh around 185.5g and have a thickness of around 7.79mm.
