Ordering food through delivery apps can be an adventure of sorts. When an order arrives, there can be unforeseen obstacles, ups and downs, and unforeseen consequences. Recent high-profile incidents include birthday cakes being ordered with extra toppers with words that were not wishes. Many people on the internet find this mistake too funny to be funny. In an Instagram reel, a woman explains that she recently ordered a birthday cake for her brother through Zomato. She asked the facility to write “Happy Birthday Himanshu” on the cake in her instructions.

She also wanted me to uncheck the box that said “Please do not send cutlery with this order” so I did so. When her order arrived, she was shocked to find two chocolate toppers on top of her cake. One of them had “Happy Birthday Birthday Himanshu” written in icing. On the other side was written, “Send a knife.” The woman blamed Zomato for the mistake. In the caption, she joked, “Thank you @zomato for the perfect order! Really loved the extra effort!” Check out the full reel below.

The video has been viewed more than 500,000 times so far. Some Instagram users pointed out that the fault lies with the bakery or restaurant that made the cake, rather than Zomato (which is only a delivery partner). Nevertheless, others shared similar experiences in the comments section. Many people made fun of this failure. See some of the reactions below.
“The same thing happened to me. I added instructions to send them an anniversary topper, but guess what?! They wrote Happy Anniversary Topper.”
“Is this Zomato’s fault? Ask the restaurant.”
“I would like to send a belated happy birthday to Mr. Cutlery!”
“Please don’t cry because I have leftover chocolate.”
“I ordered tea, but I unchecked the option. They sent me a fork and spoon instead of a cup with my tea.”
“I’m sorry for what happened to you, but brother, this is crazy.”
“From now on, I’ll call my younger brother and ask him to send me a knife and see his reaction.”
A chocolate bar with the words “Send cutlery” written on it can also be used as a spoon.
