Test and measurement company VIAVI has announced that it will be showcasing a number of network test, automation and optimization solutions powered by NITRO Wireless and NITRO AIOps at MWC Barcelona in February.
Over the past 12 months, networking technology has advanced at an incredible rate, increasing the demand for networking and computing resources around the world. Oleg Khaykin, his CEO and president of VIAVI, highlighted the transformative impact of his consumer-scale AI on global demand for network and computing resources. With the rapid expansion of 5G and rising expectations for 6G, VIAVI aims to provide solutions to help customers and partners adapt to this dynamic environment.

The solution will be showcased at the company’s stand in Hall 5 at MWC Barcelona and will cover a wide range of areas through its Network Integration Testing, Real-Time Analysis and Optimization (NITRO) platform. This includes network transformation and optimization with VIAVI Telco AI and his 5G to 6G migration with NITRO wireless technology platform.
Powered by AI, VIAVI Telco powers solutions for tomorrow’s highly automated zero-touch networks. NITRO AIOps enables communication service providers to take advantage of cloud platforms, open control interfaces, and automation. This includes cloud-native asset discovery, inventory and topology, real-time assurance with AI/ML-driven proactive problem resolution, analytics and automation, and digital experience optimization across hybrid network environments.
NITRO Wireless is a combination of performance and interoperability test platforms used for 3GPP and O-RAN across the industry. We also deliver cloud, intelligence, and automation in the lab, through the cloud, or as a service. Additionally, VIAVI Automated Lab-as-a-Service for Open RAN (VALOR) was also one of the solutions showcased.
A cloud-based RAN Intelligence Controller (RIC) test and geolocation app is also part of VIAVI’s offering, enabling an optimized and efficient wireless network with self-learning capabilities. 5G synchronization, interference hunting, electromagnetic field (EMF) analysis, and antenna tuning form part of the smart, secure, and automated field solutions for technicians and contractors provided by VIAVI’s field instruments .
During MWC Barcelona, VIAVI will conduct live demonstrations in collaboration with technology leaders. These include new architectures and solutions to enhance 5G performance and lay the foundation for the cost-effectiveness of 5G Advanced and 6G, commercial robustness, maturity, Open RAN, RAN Intelligence and AIOps.
