Since the launch of the Nintendo Switch, there seems to be a resurgence in handheld gaming (not to mention gaming on your phone), and the Razer Edge is one of them, a handheld device aimed at Android users and Xbox players, with a Wi-Fi version of the tablet now on sale. $249.99 $150 off on Amazon. (According to our price checker, this matches the lowest price ever.)
The Razer Edge arrived in early 2023 to let you enjoy Android-based gaming on the go, and according to PCMag’s “Excellent” review, it’s a powerful streaming handheld console that lets you play games with familiar physical buttons and joysticks, or from the cloud, one-handed, like on a smartphone.
This is the Wi-Fi version of the Razer Edge, so you won’t be able to cloud game or stream games unless you’re connected to Wi-Fi, but you can run games locally via the 128GB of storage (plus a micro SD card tray for additional storage), and if you download the Steam Link app, you’ll be able to stream PC games as long as you’re near your computer.
The system runs on Android 12 and has a 6.8-inch OLED touchscreen with a 2,880 x 1,080 resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x CPU, which should give you around 11 hours of playback on a full charge, depending on the settings.
The Razer Edge uses the same screen as the Razer Kishi V2, but with some added features: The controller is the Razer Kishi V2 Pro, and you can play games using either the touchscreen or the controller (or both).
