T-Mobile celebrates another milestone by achieving uplink speeds of 345 Mbps on its 5G SA network. This number was achieved when Un-carrier tested a new feature called his UL Tx Switching.
The 345 Mbps achieved by T-Mobile is a huge number, as it is the fastest speed ever achieved in North America using spectrum below 6 GHz. This achievement shows that T-Mobile’s technology has the potential to revolutionize the transmission of data across networks between mobile devices.
Through UL Tx switching, users can experience seamless switching using frequency combinations. The result is increased uplink capacity and faster uplink speeds. T-Mobile calls it this: “We will use the 5G superhighway.”
The test utilized mobile testing using smartphones equipped with Nokia’s next-generation AirScale portfolio and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.’s Snapdragon Modem-RF system.
Commenting on this achievement, Ulf Ewaldsson, President of Technology at T-Mobile, said:
“This achievement is a testament to our continuous pursuit of innovation and our commitment to providing a better network experience for our customers. Uplink transmit switching has the potential to significantly increase upload speeds and capacity. We urge partners around the world to build that capability into the upcoming 5G ecosystem.”
