If the internet is available, Donald Trump could face another defamation lawsuit filed by E. Jean Carroll.
The former president criticized Carroll during a rally in Michigan on Saturday, asking, “Who is she?” He questioned her story. But the jury found that Trump had sexually assaulted her and then defamed her.
The internet quickly fired back, suggesting further legal action.

A popular social media account called “Spiro’s Ghost” wrote, “Oh my god. She needs to sue him again.”
Former federal and state prosecutor Ron Filipkowski said, “It’s time for Part 3 of E. Jean Carroll v. Trump!”
The Palmer Report said, “Donald Trump foolishly attacked E-Jean Carroll again. Now how many more millions of dollars will he have to pay her? This man is now self-destructing by the minute. “I’m doing it,” he wrote.
Mary, from Missouri, who identified herself as a Democrat and former elementary school teacher on social media, said: “Sue again, E-Jean Carroll!”
Another popular account called “Liam Nissan” added to the chorus.
“Oops, looks like $83 million wasn’t enough, looks like it’s time to fine him again.”
In a comment on the post, one person reiterated that Carroll’s lawyers are “on high alert that Mr. Trump will slander her again and have said they will sue him again.”
“I wonder what their threshold is,” PeopleOverPolitics wrote.
Another internet user wrote, “Who is that woman? Dear Trump, there are 88 million reasons why you know E. Jean Carroll really well.”
But not everyone thought President Trump’s comments about Carroll were actionable.
Bradley Moss, a national security lawyer and general political commentator, said:
“Yeah, he came close, but he didn’t cross the line,” Moss wrote, referring to the defamation line against the woman who accused him of assaulting her.
