According to the report, the top companies that have acquired AI-related patents include IBM, Samsung Electronics, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Amazon.

Other top patent holders lag far behind in terms of volume. IBM secured approximately 4,000 new patents and Qualcomm received approximately 3,800 patents.
