Home sales in San Diego County increased in July after slumping in June, according to data compiled by the San Diego Metropolitan Association of Realtors.
Existing single-family home sales increased about 9% in July compared to June. Townhomes increased about 7% from the previous month. Sales of single-family homes increased more than 7% compared to July 2023.
The median price of a single-family home is down nearly 3 percent but remains above July’s $1 million mark. Townhouses and condominiums are around $700,000.
Compared to a year ago, prices across all home types are up about 9 percent.
“We expect sales to continue to increase and look forward to seeing the continued impact of more families achieving generational wealth through homeownership,” said SDAR President Spencer Lugash.
The most expensive single-family home sold in July was a custom-built home in Rancho Santa Fe that went for $15.5 million. Built in 2019, the home has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and a cabana set between the resort pool and a small golf course.
92028 (Fallbrook) and 92056 (Oceanside East) were the two ZIP codes in San Diego County that saw more than 40 single-family home sales in July.
