Samsung Electronics has officially announced that it will join the AI-RAN Alliance as a founding member. The company hopes to work with the AI-RAN Alliance on the development of AI (artificial intelligence) and 6G. Samsung announced this at his Mobile World Congress (MWC) in 2024. The AI-RAN Alliance is comprised of many companies (including Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Arm, and Softbank) who want to collaborate to enable the convergence of AI and wireless communications.
This new partnership will work together to develop new technologies and apply those technologies into commercial products to help the world prepare for the 6G era.
“The AI-RAN Alliance will foster collaboration, drive innovation, and usher in a new era of transformation centered on AI and 6G networks,” said Charlie Chan, senior vice president of Samsung Research America. We believe that this alliance will create new value for end users.” Enhance collaboration with operators through AI-based use cases and innovation. ”
