South Korea’s National Radio Research Agency (NRRA) has released the first hands-on photos of the Galaxy A35 5G, a model that will soon appear above the Galaxy A25 5G (currently $300 on Amazon) in Samsung’s Galaxy A series. To recap, the Galaxy A35 5G was last seen on Samsung’s UAE support page alongside the Galaxy A55 5G, with model numbers SM-A356E/DS and SM-A556E/DS, respectively. TENAA then published various hands-on photos of his Galaxy A55 5G, which was also joined by his Galaxy C55 counterpart.
As the CAD-based renderings suggested, the Galaxy A35 5G will be difficult to visually distinguish from the Galaxy A55 5G and possibly the Galaxy S24. On the one hand, the former has three rear cameras arranged vertically with individual lenses. Additionally, Samsung has effectively placed the LED flash on the Galaxy A35 5G to the right of the camera lens, between the first and center cameras. Incidentally, this also applies to the Galaxy S24, which Samsung launched last month along with the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Meanwhile, the NRRA images also reveal that the Galaxy A35 5G will have a ‘key island’, a design element that appears across this generation of the Galaxy A series. Otherwise, NRRA returns model number SM-A356N. That “SM-A356” is the root, and “N” indicates the Korean variation. The device’s launch date is currently unknown, but previous leaks indicate that the Galaxy A35 5G will arrive with an Exynos 1380 chipset, powering the Galaxy A34 with multi-core optimization tasks. It should offer a decent performance upgrade over the Dimensity 1080.
