I’ve become a discerning eye for smartphone cameras ever since I used another HONOR smartphone, the HONOR 90 5G. This camera setup includes a 108MP rear camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 16MP selfie camera.
I kept my expectations in check and was prepared for mediocre output, but I was pleasantly surprised by how crisp and crisp the details were. Wonderful may sound like an exaggeration, but let’s just say it far exceeded my (controlled) expectations. The colors are clear and true to the actual colors. I’m always wary of over-processed photos, but this one looked natural. Of course, there are things like color correction, but if you really hate over-processing, there’s always manual settings. I don’t have time for that, so I needed something like the HONOR X9b that met my requirements for instant yet natural photos.
As with other HONOR smartphones I’ve had a chance to test, the 5800mAh battery provides the power you need to take tons of images throughout the day. In fact, you don’t need to carry around a 35W SuperCharge charger or power bank.
HONOR has put it through several tests, including a 5-foot drop, misplaced watermelon, and smashing hard surfaces, but that doesn’t mean you need to test it either. It’s your call from your hard-earned money, so please refrain from calling at the risk of sounding preachy. Either way, you’ll drop it… eventually.
