iQoo Z9 5G has been spotted on Geekbench. MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC may be available

iQoo Z9 5G may be launched in India soon. This purported phone was earlier spotted on several certification sites hinting at some of its key specifications. Early leaks also suggest design renderings of his two rumored iQoo Z9 models, which are suggested to be the base model and his iQoo Z9x model. These are said to be the successor models to the iQoo Z8 and iQoo Z8x, which were launched in China in August 2023. Meanwhile, iQoo is also preparing to launch iQoo Neo 9 Pro in India on February 22nd.

The iQoo Z9 5G was spotted on Geekbench (via Nashville Chatter) with model number I2302. The listing suggests that the phone may be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC. This refutes previous leaks that suggested the device could be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.

On Geekbench 6, the iQoo Z9 5G with the chipset codenamed ‘k6886v1_64’ scored 1186 in the single-core test and 2683 in the multi-core test. The listed model is said to have 8GB of RAM and run an Android 14-based OS. Previous leaks also claim that the phone could launch with a 1.5K OLED display and a 6,000mAh battery.

The iQoo Z9 5G was also spotted in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database, hinting at its upcoming launch in India. His Bluetooth SIG listing for this phone states that it supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The leaked design renders of the iQoo Z9 series show his two models, the supposedly base iQoo Z9 and the iQoo Z9x, with a textured gradient light blue back panel. One features a circular dual rear camera unit while the other appears to feature a square camera module.

The iQoo Z9, which is expected to be the successor to the iQoo Z8, is expected to come with several upgrades. Notably, the iQoo Z8 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, a 5,000mAh battery, a 6.64-inch IPS Full HD+ display, a 64-megapixel dual rear camera system, and runs Android 13-based OriginOS 3.0.
