Global Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) data: IDP and returnee data aggregated at Management Level 1 based on available data.
explanation
IOM’s Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) is a comprehensive set of tools used to collect and analyze data to disseminate critical multi-layered information about the mobility, vulnerability, and needs of displaced people. DTM provides evidence-based data to IOM and other stakeholders to enable them to make informed decisions about aid and recovery plans in affected communities. Additionally, DTM systematically manages geospatial information about human movement patterns around the world. As of December 2022, over 11,000 of his IOM and partner data collectors and over 500 of his technical experts are serving his 95 countries. DTM publications (reports, maps, datasets) have been downloaded approximately 1.8 million times. These publications greatly contribute to operational efficiency, especially in humanitarian crises, where reliable and up-to-date data on migration dynamics can potentially save lives. In addition, GIS online visualizations display key results and metrics in easy-to-read maps and statistical products for a wide audience.
The data available with these GIS services is Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and Returnees Management level 1 aggregates the most recent data collected while the DTM program is active.
