HonorTech is scheduled to launch its next smartphone Honor X9b 5G in India on February 15th. The company claims that its upcoming device will usher in “a new era of smartphone durability and reliability.” HTech has confirmed that the Honor X9b will feature “ultra-rebound 360-degree drop resistance and cutting-edge cushioning technology.”
Honor X9b becomes the industry’s first smartphone to receive a 5-star certification for comprehensive drop resistance from Switzerland’s SGS. This certification defines the smartphone’s resilience to unfavorable scenarios such as accidental drops and underscores the company’s commitment to providing reliable and durable devices.
Ultrabounce Anti-Drop 360 Degree Drop Resistant Display: What is it?
The Honor X9b will be equipped with the company’s Ultra-Bounce Anti-drop display. Shock-absorbing structure around the phone allows it to withstand drops from up to 1.5 meters.
This phone guarantees 360-degree protection on all six sides and four corners, even on hard surfaces like marble. It has a 3-layer protective structure with partial reinforcement, surrounding cushioning material, and seal protection. In addition, it uses a low-elasticity cushioning material with micron-level gaps to absorb up to 1.2 times more impact.
The phone introduces Ultra Bounce technology, which provides both drop and splash resistance and is verified by a 15-second water immersion test and IP53 water and dust proof certification. The micro-level gap design acts as an airbag, deforming and absorbing energy during impact over and above environmental factors.
How Honor X9b prioritizes eye comfort
Honor X9b 5G will also introduce features to improve user comfort. The smartphone boasts a 6.78-inch display with 120Hz variable refresh rate, 1.5K resolution (429PPI), 1.07 billion colors, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut support.
For eye safety, the smartphone will come with features like 1920 Hz PWM dimming technology with hardware-level low blue light, dynamic dimming, and circadian night display support.
