Digital Chat Station has outlined some early details about the upcoming new Honor tablet. According to a well-known leaker, the company’s next Android tablet could be a rather entry-level option, and perhaps he could be a member of the Pad or Pad X series. Unfortunately, Digital Chat Station has not revealed the name of the retailer, so we can only speculate for now.
Instead, the leaker reports that the unnamed tablet will feature 5G connectivity thanks to the “Snapdragon 5G platform.” Reportedly, the same model can also charge the battery at 35 W, comparable to the Pad 9 and surpassing his 22.5 W of the Pad X9. Therefore, the unnamed tablet is likely closer to his Pad 9 than the Pad X9. It is highlighted by the presence of a 12.1-inch, 2,560 x 1,600 pixel display with “flash-free certified eye protection”.
Strictly speaking, the inclusion of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset gives the regular Pad 9 the ability to offer 5G connectivity. However, Honor has disabled all cellular connectivity on the Pad 9, unlike the Pad X9. Potentially, Honor could be preparing to release a 5G version of the Pad 9, possibly as the Honor Pad 9 5G. However, other details such as the release date and whether the tablet will be available worldwide are currently unknown.
