Google has rolled out a new software update to Nest Wifi Pro, bringing two important fixes as well as security and stability improvements.
Software version 3.73.424613 will be released starting August 21st with a fairly extensive changelog.
- Fixed incorrect WAN connection LED status
- Fixed connection issues with certain streaming and productivity devices
- Improved security and stability
The recent release was just “bug fixes and improvements.” As it stands, the indicator light on your Nest Wifi Pro will cycle as follows:
- All white: Device is online. (Can be disabled or set to low/high)
- Fast blinking white: The device is booting or updating
- Slow blinking blueYour device is ready to be set up
- Fast blinking blue: Pairing in progress
- Solid yellow: Resetting your router to factory settings
- Slow blinking yellowA network error occurred or the WAN connection was lost
- Fast blinking yellowAn error occurred on your device during setup
- Fast blinking red: Something went wrong. This is a serious problem. Please reset your router to factory settings.
Meanwhile, users are hoping that a previous update will fix an issue that caused Matter-connected lights and other smart home gadgets to break, and that “streaming and productivity devices” might refer to something else.
To check for updates, go to the Google Home app >[デバイス]Tab >[Nest Wifi Pro]> Settings gear icon. Nest Wifi Pro updates automatically, usually overnight.
