Last week, we saw Geekbench results for the Samsung Galaxy F15 5G, which is powered by the Dimensity 6100+ chipset, the same chip that powers the Galaxy A15 5G. Although the two phones have a lot in common, there are also some differences, as the leaked teaser images show.
The biggest thing is that the F15 packs a 6,000mAh battery (1,000mAh more than the A15). This is the same capacity as last year’s Galaxy F14 5G, which this phone replaces. We also confirmed that the battery in question recently received certification. Anyway, the phone should support 25W charging via USB-C.
Samsung promises to provide four OS updates and five years of security patches for this phone. That’s great for a budget device, and better than the F14 (which has only had two OS updates and four years of patches).
The highlighted ‘Voice Focus’ feature has been included in the Galaxy A and F series for some time (since One UI 5.0). Enhance your voice as well as the voice of the person you’re calling, and eliminate background noise on either side of the call.
All these things aside, the Galaxy F15 5G should come with the same 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz display and 13MP selfie feature as the A15 5G. It also has a triple camera, likely a 50MP main, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP helper (F14 doesn’t have an ultrawide module). The basic configuration is likely to remain the same as the F14, 4/128GB.
Galaxy F15 5G may be announced on February 22nd, but there is no official confirmation yet. By the way, Samsung is preparing a 4G version of the Galaxy F14, which should be announced soon.
