Q: What are some useful keyboard shortcuts in Windows?Dow’s 11?
answer: Keyboard shortcuts are one of the most underutilized features in the operating system, and Windows 11 has many new features.
Shortcuts have been around since the early days of personal computing, with the earliest and most well-known shortcut being Ctrl + Alt + Del, used to restart DOS-based computers.
It can still be used to perform a variety of tasks, including locking your PC, switching users, logging off, and launching Task Manager.
Windows 11 has over 150 keyboard shortcuts, many of which may be confusing to most users. This does not include many useful shortcuts available in Microsoft’s other productivity tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Increased efficiency
Not having to take your hands off the keyboard to use a mouse can improve your efficiency, especially if you spend most of your day at your computer.
Even if you don’t, knowing when and how to use these shortcuts can be very helpful.
basics
One of the most useful shortcuts such as copy (Ctrl + C), paste (Ctrl + V), select all (Ctrl + A), cut selected items (Ctrl + X), undo (Ctrl + Z) section can be used for all operations. For Windows versions and Mac, use the Command key instead of Ctrl.
Other useful everyday shortcuts include the universal help key (F1), exit or quit an app (Alt + F4), refresh active window (F5), and undo action (Ctrl + Y).
Windows logo key shortcuts
This special key (Win) has been around since the mid-90s, but few casual computer users seem to realize how powerful it is.
When pressed alone[スタート]Open and close menus, Win + L to lock your PC, Win + D to show or hide the desktop, and Win + E to launch File Explorer.
Press Win + X to bring up a menu of Windows’ most important utilities, including Settings, Power Options, and Device Manager.
Win + A opens Action Center, which controls Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, volume, and more, while Win + N shows all your notifications.
Press the Windows key and the plus or minus sign to open the Magnifier tool, and press Win+Esc while continuing to zoom in or out to exit Magnifier.
One of my favorite shortcuts, Win + V, lets you view your clipboard history of the last 25 items on your clipboard. This is a great feature for people who cut and paste on a regular basis.
You can pin frequently used items, such as addresses or disclaimers, to the clipboard so they remain even if you clear your history or restart your computer.
Win + V also gives you access to emojis, GIFs, classic emoticons, and special symbols that you can insert into anything you’re working on.
Here’s a comprehensive list of keyboard shortcuts for Windows 10, 11, and Microsoft Office, as there are many other useful features.
