Want to further develop your data skills? Illinois State University is a member of the Interuniversity Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), a consortium that “provides leadership and training in data access, curation, and analysis methods to the social science research community.” I am a member of “. ICPSR’s Quantitative Methods Summer Program provides rigorous, easy-to-understand training in statistics, quantitative and qualitative methods, and data analysis. There will be sessions from June 10 to July 5 and July 8 to August 2, and workshops on the topic from May to August.
ICPSR also provides more than $150,000 in student scholarships each year for summer programs. The goal is to “remove financial barriers to participation and increase access to training in statistical methods for students from diverse backgrounds.”
