Donald Trump was apparently booed by a crowd in Pennsylvania on Saturday, setting social media ablaze.
The former president was trying to promote his new gold sneakers when the crowd appeared to turn on him, as some onlookers face hundreds of millions of dollars in fraud charges in New York. compared it to a quick cash grab.
“There’s a lot of emotion. There’s a lot of emotion in this room. Thank you,” he said in response to the loud boos that went viral over one video. “I’m happy to say… there’s a line…I want to thank Chase and Allen, but there’s a line all around the block,” he then continued speaking to the jeering crowd.
ABC News reports:
“There were loud boos and cheers at the Philadelphia Convention Center as Mr. Trump introduced what he called the first official Trump shoe.”

The internet did not make it easy for the former president.
An account called “Biden Wins” posted a video Saturday saying President Trump was “booed at Sneaker Con for trying to sell shoes.”
“Retweet so we can all see Mr. Trump embarrassed.” The post was shared by conservative Trump critic Rick Wilson.
A social media account called KevinlyFather also described the incident, saying the sound President Trump heard was “a chorus of boos.”
Former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski also posted a video on his social media suggesting that Trump was “booed at Sneaker Con” while promoting the shoe.
When columnist Molly Johnfast heard this, she said: Mentioned booing.
“I’m really interested in the chain of events that led to him selling sneakers and this speech,” said film and television producer Franklin Leonard.
Trump’s former lawyer and “fixer” Michael Cohen also chimed in on the viral video.
“Is my Trump Executive Corporate Discount Card still valid?” Cohen asked on social media.
