Take your girls somewhere nice on National Margarita Day.
Thursday got off to an interesting start this week, as cell phone outages across the United States have left many AT&T users stuck at home (I’m one of them). And this power outage happened to coincide with National Margarita Day, which is both a blessing and a curse.
Chili’s announced last night that it will be running an all-day $5 tequila trifecta in honor of the holiday, encouraging fans of the restaurant to come out for lunch and grab some Wi-Fi and some tequila.
While so many Twitter (X) users are excited about the news of this National Margarita Day sale, the chain restaurant is now starting its tequila celebration early because it has free Wi-Fi AT&T users are being tempted to do so.
A brilliant marketing strategy.
Their efforts appeared to be successful, as the commentary quickly filled up and engines began heading to the local Chili’s for Wi-Fi and margaritas.
I hope this doesn’t lead to a $5 margarita shortage. Some of us have to report on painful topics in country music, and some of us just can’t wait.
