When we want instant relief from evening hunger pangs, we often turn to Maggi packets. These instant noodles are our go-to solution for easy eating with minimal effort. However, this popularity led Maggie to undergo various bizarre food experiments. Adding to the long list of unconventional Maggi recipes, the internet has discovered ‘Coffee Maggi’. Yes, you read that correctly. If the name surprises you, just wait until you see the clip. In this version, the seller prepares the dish with milk instead of water. A foodie page on Instagram shared a video of a roadside vendor claiming that this is the first time someone has made this unique dish in India’s history.
The video begins with a vendor boiling milk. Then add crushed Maggi packets to it. Then add chopped tomatoes, green peppers and onions and sprinkle Maggi masala on top. After mixing the ingredients well, add a spoonful of coffee powder. The experiment doesn’t end here. The video also shows him sprinkling haldi on top of the mixture. When the dish has completely absorbed the milk and the noodles are fully cooked, he serves it to the person. After observing the cooking process, he seems hesitant to taste the dish. In the clip, the user can be heard adding that he plans to let the vendor try it first and if nothing happens, he’ll try it himself. The clip ends with the user tasting and surprisingly enjoying the dish. I hear him say:Baidamdar hai. Shabd nahi rahe. [Brother, it tastes excellent. I am speechless]”

However, the Internet simply rejected this dish. Some joke that this is the result when customers cannot afford Maggi with their cold coffee. One comment read, “When you can’t afford Maggi and cold coffee together, just mix them together. Mummy ne paiz surf maggy ke die za. [Because mummy only gave money for Maggi]” Some wondered why Maggie would be the only one to fall prey to such experiments.
