iPad sales are surging this month. With President’s Day sales just around the corner, we’re seeing a new wave of iPad deals at Amazon and Best Buy. The retailer has many models on sale at all-time low prices. In fact, most iPad models are currently on sale.
Keep in mind that iPads are always in high demand and tend to sell out quickly. This means that even if the base 10.9-inch iPad is in stock in the morning, it may be sold out in the afternoon.
That’s why we recommend grabbing the iPad deals currently displayed before your model runs out of stock. So what are the cheapest iPad deals right now? Here are some great deals from Apple. Our favorite iPad deals right now are from Amazon. This retailer sells virtually all iPads. If you’re looking for the best deals on iPads — Amazon sells the 10.2-inch iPad (WiFi/64GB) for $249. The 10.9-inch iPad Air (WiFi/64GB) is also available on Amazon for $499.

How to find iPad deals
I’ve been tracking iPad sales for over 10 years. I’ve bought multiple iPads as gifts, and I’ve owned a variety of iPads since the original iPad tablet was released. (I currently own an iPad mini 5th generation). Throughout this year, I’ve learned to spot iPad deals from regular sales. We also know when and where to find great deals on iPad.
In general, my favorite places to shop for iPad deals are Amazon and Best Buy. No other retailer offers prices like Amazon or Best Buy. Best Buy doesn’t always have iPads on sale, so Amazon is usually a better retailer. However, retailers tend to match prices with each other. So if you see one iPad for sale at Best Buy, there’s a good chance Amazon also has it for sale at that price (or will be selling it in the very near future) .
One of my favorite ways to save money on your next iPad purchase is to trade in your older model. Old iPads can usually be purchased for $50 or more at places like the Apple Store and Best Buy. You can use those credits to buy a new iPad of your choice.
Note: You can usually find deals on new iPad models within a month of the tablet’s release, but sometimes sooner. If you can afford to wait a few weeks, you’ll save $20 to $50. (Amazon is usually the first retailer to discount newly announced iPads).
Which iPad should I buy?
Not sure why an iPad is right for you? Here are the models Apple currently offers:
10.2-inch iPad ($329): It may be old, but the 2021 iPad (9th generation) is still a very capable iPad. It’s available at most retailers, including Apple, and is often on sale for $269. It has a 10.2-inch display, A13 Bionic CPU, 8MP (f/2.4) rear camera and 12MP (f/2.4) front camera. The mainstream tablet is not only the most affordable iPad, but also the most cost-effective tablet. With support for Apple Pencil (1st generation), you can also use it for sketching and drawing. For our full opinion on Apple’s budget tablet, check out our iPad 2021 review.
10.9-inch iPad ($449): The current generation of entry-level iPads debuted in 2022. It features a 10.9-inch display and Apple’s A14 Bionic CPU. Unlike its predecessor, it has a 12MP (f/1.8) rear camera and a USB-C port. Supports Magic Keyboard Folio and 1st generation Apple Pencil.
8.3-inch iPad mini ($499): As the name suggests, the 2021 iPad mini 6 is the smallest tablet in Apple’s lineup. But don’t be fooled by its size. iPad mini is one of his powerful tablets. The 2021 iPad mini features an all-new thin bezel design, a large 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, an A15 Bionic CPU, a 12MP wide camera, and USB-C connectivity. Also works with Apple Pencil 2.
10.9-inch iPad Air ($599): The iPad Air is the tablet of choice if you need more horsepower than Apple’s entry-level iPad. It’s equipped with Apple’s powerful M1 chip, a 12MP front camera with Center Stage, and optional 5G connectivity. In our review of the iPad Air 2022, we said the Editors’ Choice tablet sets a new standard for ultra-thin tablets and is one of the best tablets you can buy. It costs $599, but you can often find it for $551 or $499.
11-inch iPad Pro ($749): This tablet has an 11-inch 2388 x 1668 Liquid Retina display with ProMotion (120Hz). It also features Apple’s powerful M2 CPU. Other benefits include support for Apple Pencil 2/Magic Keyboard/Smart Keyboard Folio and Apple Pencil Hover, which lets you preview your marks before making them. It also has a 12MP wide camera, a 10MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP TrueDepth front camera. Note: This tablet does not have the mini-LED technology found in the larger iPad Pro 12.9-inch.
12.9-inch iPad Pro ($1,099): The most expensive tablet in Apple’s lineup features a 12.9-inch Mini LED 2732 x 2048 Liquid Retina display with ProMotion (120Hz). The high-resolution display allows you to see every detail on each panel or splash page. The display is large enough to display an entire page of a comic book, so there’s little (if any) need to zoom in or rotate the tablet to get a clearer view. It also features Apple’s powerful M2 CPU. Other benefits include support for Apple Pencil 2/Magic Keyboard/Smart Keyboard Folio and Apple Pencil Hover, which lets you preview your marks before making them.

A guide to finding great deals on iPad
Where to find great deals: In general, Amazon tends to offer great deals on iPads. We typically offer discounts of $50 to $200 on select days of the week. Other retailers like Best Buy, B&H Photo, and Walmart tend to offer similar prices. But they rarely break deals on Amazon’s iPad.
Check all colors. Amazon tends to price different iPad colors differently. For example, a base iPad 32GB tablet in black might be sold at a discounted price of $299, while a white model might be sold at full price. So when looking for iPad deals on Amazon, it’s worth checking out the best prices in a variety of colors.
Check your older iPad models. Apple’s newest iPad packs the most power. However, in many cases, previous-generation iPads still have enough features to meet your everyday needs. It’s also much cheaper to buy than the current generation iPad. So it’s always worth checking out older iPad models (if available) to save some extra money.
