Dr. Cyrilug said that promoting widespread adoption of 5G should be done through proper 5G optimization and import substitution.
Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) is building a partnership with the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NTBC) to promote the optimal use of 5G wireless broadband technology.
Optimizing 5G deployment is one of TSRI’s top priorities in its economic drive to manufacture prototypes of 5G solutions and products this year.
TSRI’s National Science, Technology and Innovation Chair Dr. Cyrilurg Sonsibilay said areas to focus on optimizing 5G include healthcare, agriculture and self-driving cars. bangkok post office.
The committee has a number of collaborations with relevant agencies, including projects related to planned PM2.5 pollution plans, 5G development through existing infrastructure, the next-age electric vehicle ecosystem, food biotechnology, and more. The important agenda for implementing the project was set.
Dr. Cyrilrug is in discussions with NBTC Chairman Dr. Sarana Boombaichaiyapuruk and his team to materialize the 5G collaboration. He said that TSRI is working not only on paper procedures but also on producing several prototypes as solutions and products for local adoption, with mass production scheduled for this year.
Thailand was the first country in ASEAN to act on the 5G spectrum license auction held by the NBTC in January 2020. Since then, wireless data consumption and 5G deployment in the country have increased, Dr. Cyrilrug said.
He said that although Thailand’s 5G rollout has lagged behind other regional countries, Thailand is clearly at the forefront of the 5G wave thanks to a dynamic market with some of the world’s most tech-savvy consumers. He said he was standing.
Dr. Cyrilrug said that promoting broader 5G adoption should be done through proper 5G optimization and import substitution.
He said TSRI was established by the government more than four years ago as the sole national agency to work with other institutions to shape the promotion of science, research and innovation in Thailand. The committee operates under the National Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council, which is chaired by the Prime Minister.
The agency has been allocated an operating budget of 15 billion baht in 2023 and is seeking a budget of 19.5 billion baht in 2024, which is being considered by a House of Commons committee.
Dr. Cyrilrug said the institute is shaping operations and management as a core tool to develop research for implementation to drive economic recovery and the future of the country.
“We act as a concentration center for researchers in the country, implementing results and solutions that benefit the entire economy and the well-being of the people,” he said.
