AT&T users face cell phone service outages nationwide
AT&T was down and people couldn’t make phone calls, including calling 911.
An outage in the nation’s largest telephone network has prompted warnings from emergency services and advice from businesses on how to avoid the problem.
The problems began early Thursday morning. AT&T said it was aware of the issue and was working on a fix as soon as possible, but did not say why the issue occurred or when it would be resolved.
AT&T has approximately 250 million customers, making it the largest telephone network in the United States.
So far, mobile network companies have announced that 75 percent of their networks have been restored.
