ASRock is launching a new Mini-ITX motherboard called Phantom Gaming B760I Lightning WIFI, which supports incredibly fast memory up to DDR5-8400.
ASRock’s upcoming Mini-ITX B760I Lightning motherboard supports Intel’s top 14th Gen K CPU and DDR5-8400 memory
ASRock announces its latest Phantom Gaming ITX motherboard, B760I Lightning WIFI, in its CES 2024 motherboard portfolio. This Mini-ITX motherboard features top-grade specifications and even better memory support with a dual DIMM design.

Starting from the specifications, ASRock Phantom Gaming B760I Lightning WIFI is a Mini-ITX design with Intel LGA 1700/1800 socket. The board is powered by a single 8-pin connector and also supports a top-of-the-line Core i9-14900K CPU with a 14+1+1 phase VRM design on an 8-layer PCB. The VRM comes with a nice heatsink attached to the heatpipe to keep temperatures cool when running Intel’s high-end processors.

Next to the CPU socket are two DDR5 DIMM slots, supporting capacities up to 128 GB with the latest 64 GB module. The highlight is memory speed. For Phantom Gaming B760I Lightning WIFI, ASRock uses V-Color’s latest module to reach speeds of up to DDR5 8400 MT/s (40-52-52-130-182-2T) at 1.45V, top-level demonstrated its performance. SK-Hynix DRAM and Intel Core i5-14600K CPU. This is a huge achievement for the Mini-ITX segment and ASRock, and shows that motherboard manufacturers are fine-tuning performance for these smaller form factors.

To demonstrate support for Intel’s flagship desktop CPU, ASRock ran a Core i9-14900K on the motherboard, delivering top performance similar to other high-end designs. This is also very impressive.

Other specifications of ASRock Phantom Gaming B760I Lightning WIFI motherboard include 1 PCIe Gen5 x16 slot for discrete graphics card, PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD slot with M.2 Armor heatsink, 2 SATA III ports, and abundant USB and other I/O. /O port.

The board also has WIFI 6E connectivity and an active fan installed under the I/O cover for enhanced VRM cooling. You can see the exhaust vent on the back panel. As for I/O, there are four 5 Gbps USB ports, two 10 Gbps (Type-A + Type-C) ports, a 2.5G Ethernet LAN port, and a 3-channel audio jack along with HDMI and DP connections . ASRock hasn’t revealed pricing yet, but considering the impressive set of I/O and memory support features, we expect the price to be a bit premium.
