strange but true
Danger has taken on a new look after Jack the Ripper experts used research materials to achieve the first AI rendering of the infamous 19th century serial killer.
Go over there, Ted Bundy – there’s a hot new and old hottie in town.
A recently released AI-generated rendering of Jack the Ripper reveals the infamous 19th century prostitute killer as a dashing gentleman with a dark, seductive, and wild energy.
This dangerously dreamlike drawing was kindly provided by Geoff Leahy, a longtime Ripper enthusiast from Carmarthen, Wales, who has created a miniseries about the killer and has I’ve spent decades researching the lore surrounding one of the most notorious villains.
Using Midjourney’s software and information about prime suspect Aaron Kosminski’s relatives and available photographs, Leahy was able to create a rather remarkable portrait of the man.
“I’m surprised to finally see what he looks like. I was surprised because the photo was so shocking,” Leahy told SWNS.
Kozminski was a Polish-born barber who worked in Whitechapel, the East End district of London where the murders took place in the late 1800s.
Kozminski has been named as the Ripper by many experts, but no one has been able to prove his guilt.
“We’ve never had a picture of him before, but this is the best we’ve ever gotten,” Leahy said.
“I’m so excited to finally be able to confront the world’s most notorious serial killer. I had two pictures of his sister Matilda, one of his uncle, and another. One was a photo of my immediate family. I also have a brother-in-law of his, and their families have been close for generations, with cousins marrying each other, so that’s still helpful.” he said.
The new portrait bears little resemblance to the only known facial composite ever discovered, which was discovered in the archives of a British police facility in 2022.
The grandfather of three first became aware of Rippermania when he was 10 years old, when a relative took him on a tour of historic Rippermania haunts.
In 1888, Jack the Ripper caused panic by slitting the throats and mutilating the bodies of a series of sex workers in a poor area of London.
This world-famous nickname comes from a letter written by someone claiming responsibility for the murder. Many people are under suspicion, including members of the royal family, artists, and writers.
Over the years, Kozminski has emerged as a likely suspect.
Kozminski was admitted to a mental hospital in the early 1890s, just after his heyday as a murderer.
He died in 1919 at the age of 53.
