Pros and cons of Moto G34 5G
Strong Points
- vegan leather design
- decent battery life
Cons
design and display
The Moto G34 is available in three color options: Charcoal Black, Ice Blue, and Ocean Green. The charcoal black and ice blue variants come with acrylic glass, while the ocean green color variant I tested comes with a vegan leather back.
The device uses a vegan leather back, which makes it feel very premium to hold, setting it apart from other smartphones in its segment, which mostly come with plastic backs. . Vegan leather also protects your device from fingerprint stains.
The device is also structurally sophisticated, with flat sides. The device weighs 180 grams, which is good considering it comes with a 5,000 mAh battery and a vegan leather back. It doesn’t feel heavy when you hold it, and you can easily operate it with one hand.
The device comes with a rectangular camera module on the back with two camera cutouts and a cutout for the LED flash. There is also a Motorola logo on the back.
On the right side, you’ll find the volume rocker and power button, which also doubles as a fingerprint sensor.
On the left side is the SIM tray.
At the top you’ll see the microphone and Dolby Atmos branding.
The bottom of the device has a 3.5mm audio jack, microphone, USB Type-C port, and speaker grill.
As for the display, the device features a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate. There is a notch like a punch hole in the middle. This is a slight downgrade as the device’s predecessor, the Moto G32, had a Full HD+ display.
The display has good brightness and is visible even in bright sunlight. Colors on the device are vibrant and accurate.
Software and performance
Software is one area where the Moto G34 5G offers both good and bad experiences. The smartphone runs on Android 14 out of the box with the company’s My UX, offering a clean UI. Although we don’t have stock, we provide a near-stock experience.
Although there are no fancy ads, this smartphone comes with several pre-installed applications such as Facebook, Block Blast, etc. The number of preinstalled applications is minimal and can be easily uninstalled.
Unsurprisingly for this segment, the device only receives one Android update to Android 15. Apart from this, the company provides his three years of security updates.
The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. It’s not a very powerful chipset, but it’s a good option in this segment that usually offers lower-end chipsets.
We tried popular titles like Battlegrounds Mobile India Call of Duty: Mobile on the device. Moto G34 5G offers a decent gaming experience with minimal stuttering and heat generation. However, the game is limited to HD graphics.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging, even though it comes with a 20W charger. Equipped with a large capacity battery, you don’t have to worry about charging it every day. Charging can be an issue as a full charge takes about 2 hours.
camera
Turning to the camera department, the Moto G34 5G sports a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.

Smartphones can capture images with minimal noise and decent details, even in daylight conditions. However, the colors are a bit saturated.
Images taken in low light came out fine, but there was a noticeable delay in shutter speed and noise in the images. However, this is to be expected considering the price of the device.
The device has a 16MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls that gets the job done perfectly. As expected, it works fine in daylight environments, but has a hard time in low light.
verdict
Moto G34 5G is a great device with a great design, big battery, decent chipset, and a clean UI. Recommended for people who are looking for an easy-to-use smartphone at an affordable price.
You’ll have to settle for an average camera and 18W charging support, which means your device will take longer to charge.
