Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G display
The 6.7-inch screen here is slightly curved, while all other Redmi Note 13 models feature flat panels.
Whether you like it or not depends on personal preference, but one objective benefit of curved screens is that swiping from the side is a little easier and more comfortable.
The maximum brightness of the screen also reaches around 1,200 nits, which is a very impressive number and ensures excellent visibility outdoors. However, the minimum brightness is 1.8 nits, which can be lowered a bit for more comfortable nighttime use.
Display measurements:
As for biometrics, there is an in-screen fingerprint scanner and we found the readings to be very fast and accurate, so no issues there.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G camera
Impressive main camera
Three cameras are neatly placed on the back. Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G:
- 200MP main shooter with f/1.65 aperture and OIS
- 8MP ultra-wide camera, f/2.2
- 2MP macro camera
The macro camera is the strangest one on this list. 2MP doesn’t provide enough detail and will be virtually useless for most people.
photo sample
However, the main camera is really impressive. The large sensor performs well during the day and at night, and it’s great to see a very clean, noise-free image under all conditions.
It also performs well with zooms, especially at the 2X and 4X levels, but only then does the quality start to drop noticeably.
The ultra-wide camera obviously doesn’t belong in the same category as the main camera, but it does a pretty decent job and can take good photos even in low light.
I’m also very happy with the selfies taken with the front camera. You’ll get detailed details and pleasing colors.
video quality
4K video is supported using the main camera, and the footage is fairly detailed and the video stabilization is very good.
However, once you start walking a little faster, the stabilization can’t keep up and that’s probably the one drawback I have to mention, but this also applies to most phones in this price range.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G performance and benchmarks
Built-in MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra, fast
Under the hood, the Dimensity 7200-Ultra chipset provides very good performance for this price range. It also comes with 8GB of RAM, which seems to be enough.
In daily use, the phone feels fast and smooth, and performs very well for more advanced tasks and games.
Performance benchmark:
In the Geekbench test, which focuses on CPU performance, the Redmi scores slightly lower. pixel 7but not far.
Unfortunately, we weren’t able to run any graphics benchmarks due to incompatibility, but you should expect mid-range performance in the gaming department.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G Software
But this isn’t the biggest problem with the software. MIUI keeps killing apps in the background and this messes up push notifications. This isn’t a problem for many apps, but it is if your preferred messaging app doesn’t deliver messages to your lock screen. Unfortunately, this is the default behavior for all newly installed apps. Xiaomi’s excuse is that this saves battery, but some apps warn about this issue because it’s better for notifications to work properly in the first place.
As for software updates, Redmi Note 13 is expected to receive three years of major OS updates and four years of security patches. That is, you will receive:

Powered by a 5,000mAh battery, this Redmi phone can last you for a while. In real-world charging, I found that it took an average of about a day or more between charges.

However, when it comes to charging, this sturdy 120W fast charger is included in the box for truly impressive charging speeds.
A full charge takes just 25 minutes. Did I mention the word “crazy” yet?! In a pinch, he can replenish nearly 70% within 15 minutes. Truly a game changer.
However, there is no wireless charging feature here.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G audio quality and haptics
We were not surprised to find that this phone has the best sound in the series, with punchy and clear sound.
Unfortunately, there’s no 3.5mm headphone jack here (the rest of the Redmi Note 13 models have it).

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G overview and final verdict
So… what’s the verdict? Redmi Note 13 Pro+?
It’s mostly positive. The phone has a lot of storage, has a beautiful design, runs smoothly, and the main camera is really impressive.
If you can handle the MIUI software, which can disrupt notifications in some apps, this phone should stand out as a good mid-range option in 2024.
