Motorola has recently enriched its smartphone portfolio, particularly the Moto G family with the introduction of Moto G Power 5G (2024) and Moto G (2024). The company is also teasing its upcoming Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion devices, which could be announced as early as April 3rd. In the meantime, it looks like another Moto G device will hit the market, probably without much fanfare.
Motorola Moto G64 5G was recently spotted on Google Play Console with some important details. Apparently, it will run the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset – essentially his rebranded Dimensity 930 with his 5G, 6nm chip from 2023. It has two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz and another six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz. Up to 2.0 GHz plus IMG BXM-8-256 GPU. Google Play Console lists his two variants of the Moto G64y. One has 8 GB of RAM and the other has 12 GB of RAM.
We don’t know the display’s diagonal, but we do know that it has a FullHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a pixel density of 400 ppi. The accompanying photos of the device also show that there is a selfie punch hole in the display. The volume and power buttons also appear to be on the right side of the phone.
A few days ago, the Moto G64y 5G, which is said to have exactly the same specs, was also spotted on the Google Play Console, but it’s worth noting that it’s currently not listed there. Perhaps the list was edited to reflect the new name of the device. We also don’t yet know how this new model will differ from last year’s Moto G54, which seems to be very similar.
There is no further information regarding the phone at this time, but we will keep an eye on further developments.
