MainOne, West Africa’s leading digital infrastructure service provider, has warned that repairs to undersea cable cuts that are affecting internet services in many parts of the region will take more time to complete. The company said in a statement that the measures to be taken include first identifying and assigning a vessel to retrieve the necessary spare parts, and then sailing to the fault location to carry out repair work. The outage hit many communications service providers and other businesses over the weekend.
