Recently, a home tour video of a small studio apartment in New York’s Murray Hill wowed the internet. The footage, shared by ocr_realty on Instagram, shows a cramped studio apartment with a poorly designed structure. However, the monthly rent costs a whopping $2,650 (Rs. 2,19,089).
“Is this the smallest studio space you’ve ever seen?” the caption read. In the video, the real estate agent says, “What we’re going to show you is one of the most difficult studios to live in. So when you walk in, there’s a kitchen on the right and an outdoor space.” “But that’s not what we came here for. Look, what is this? This is your entire studio space, that’s all.” The bedroom is very small, with a normal-sized bed. It barely fits, and there’s no closet space. The kitchen area is exactly as its name suggests.

Internet users who watched the video were shocked and couldn’t believe that a bomb could hit such a small apartment. Many also expressed serious concerns about the city’s exorbitant cost of living and questioned housing affordability.
“The glass panel door leading to the outside is a robbery waiting to happen,” one user wrote.
Another commented: “This apartment really shouldn’t cost more than $500,” while a third said: “That outdoor space will be full of rats at night.” Apartments like this shouldn’t be legal. ”
A fourth wrote: “2650?!?!?” How is this legal? Moreover, why do residents allow landowners to do this? Who would rent this shit?”
