As more households choose fixed wireless for broadband internet access, UScellular and Tarana Wireless have partnered to provide an enhanced internet experience to West Plains residents and businesses.
This new technology, Tarana’s transformative next-generation fixed wireless access (ngFWA) platform, will increase UScellular’s network capacity, bringing faster broadband speeds to more people.
Tarana’s unique wireless solution is designed to deliver high-speed Internet service even in challenging terrain where there is no line of sight between the cell tower and the end user – ideal for the varied terrain of the rural West Plains. Three UScellular towers are already equipped with Tarana ngFWA, ready to provide homes and businesses with true high-speed Internet service with no data caps starting today.
ngFWA offers improved consistency and performance, significantly faster and more reliable than satellite services and outperforms many other traditional technologies in both densely populated and hard-to-reach areas. The new service requires only a small antenna to be easily and quickly installed by a professional outside a customer’s home or business.
