A video of WWE legend John Cena singing the popular Bollywood song ‘Bori Si Surat’ has gone viral on social media, surprising fans in India. The video was shot by Garv Shyfra at his gym, where he thanked the WWE legend for mentoring him during his time with the wrestling company.
The caption read, “Weightlifting and singing Shah Rukh Khan songs.” Garv also posted a lengthy note in the comments section thanking the former WWE Champion. “On a personal note, it was such a pleasure to thank John for his feedback and guidance over the years, not only in ring work but also in character development, especially during my time on 205 Live. He was always calmly watching the show and giving real-time feedback to the roster.
“Over the past two and a half years we have applied a lot to our work, and it shows confidence at an all-time high. Let’s go!” it read.
Cena’s last appearance in WWE was last November at Crown Jewel, where he faced Bloodline member Solo Cicor, also emerging victorious. Since then, there have been signs of his return, but nothing has been announced yet.
Cena also traveled to India last year to take part in the Superstar Spectacle, where he competed alongside Seth Rollins in a tag team match against Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci.
Garv, on the other hand, was part of WWE’s faction ‘The Bollywood Boyz’ until he was released from the company in 2021. He was a prominent figure in the tag team division of WWE 205 Live.
Prior to this, they had performed under the name ‘Singh Brothers’ and performed with Jinder Mahal. The two also held the WWE 24/7 Championship a total of nine times, with Sunil winning it four times.
