Need a new smartphone but can’t afford to spend over $200? Don’t worry! The wildly popular Moto G Power 5G (2023) is a dream come true for cash-strapped buyers. The phone has been on Amazon for a while now for $100 off its MSRP of roughly $300, and the sale shows no signs of ending (at least not yet).
As you may know, the device is a bit pricey at the official Motorola store. Plus, Best Buy doesn’t have as big a discount as Amazon, with the device only being sold for $70 off. However, you can save $170 by activating your new device right away, but you’ll still have to pay the activation fee.
This 5G-enabled Motorola phone may not be as flashy as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but it’s still good enough for its price range. Not only does it have a long battery life, but its 6.5-inch screen also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. As you know, some of Google’s best budget phones have a 90Hz refresh rate (e.g., the Pixel 7a).
Additionally, it has 256GB of built-in storage and a microSD card slot, whereas the Pixel option has twice as much built-in storage and no slot for expansion. Meanwhile, the MediaTek processor that Motorola devices use isn’t as good as the Tensor G2. But if that doesn’t bother you too much, the G Power 5G offers good value for the price and you’ll be pretty happy with it.
As you know, this model has already been launched as the successor to the Moto G Power 5G (2024), but it is unlikely that the new version (with the same list price) will be released soon for $100 less. In addition, it has the same 16MP front camera as the previous model and a similar 50MP main sensor at the back.
Why am I telling you this? Because the 2023 model offers plenty of value for money. If it sounds like it might be for you, take advantage of the Amazon sales. Sure, sales have been running for a while, but retailers can take them down at any time.
