Samsung has released the latest security updates for the Galaxy A71 5G. High-midrange smartphones released in 2021 will receive the February 2024 security updates. Other mid-range and high-end smartphones have already received this update from earlier this month.
Galaxy A71 5G gets February 2024 security update
New Galaxy A71 5G software update comes with firmware version A716BXXS9FXA1 Currently available in Saudi Arabia and UAE. It may expand to other countries and markets in the coming days. The new update contains only security patches, so the download size is relatively small. Therefore, do not expect any new features or performance improvements with this update. According to Samsung’s security bulletin, the February 2024 security update fixes 72 security vulnerabilities found in previous software versions.
If you have a Galaxy A71 5G and live in one of the countries listed above, you can now check for new updates on your device. To check for updates, go to: setting » Software updates » Download and install On your mobile phone. You can also choose to flash the firmware manually, but you will need to download the appropriate firmware file from the database and flash it manually. To do so, you need access to a computer running Windows OS and with the Odin tool installed.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A71 5G with Android 11 in early 2021. The phone received the Android 12 update in late 2021 and the Android 13 update in late 2022. The Galaxy A71 5G did not receive the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update.
