Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 UK prices: How much do these new phones cost?
With the promise of ‘democratizing the mobile experience for everyone’, Samsung has once again given us the affordable A series.
The Samsung Galaxy A55 costs just £439 for 128GB of storage and £489 for 256GB. Meanwhile, the A35 is even cheaper at £339 for 128GB and £389 for 256GB.
Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 design: what are these new affordable smartphones like?
Samsung Galaxy A55 and A35 are available in four new ‘Awesome’ colors: Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lemon, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy.
Both have 6.6-inch displays, slightly smaller than the Samsung Galaxy S24+, with Full HD Super AMOLED screens and 120Hz refresh rates.
It also shares the S24’s floating three-camera design and is stronger and more durable than its predecessor. The Galaxy A55 will feature a metal frame for the first time, while the A35 will feature a premium glass back.
Additionally, both are coated with Gorilla Glass Victus+ and have an IP67 rating, meaning they can withstand up to 30 minutes in 1 meter of fresh water.

As always, the main feature of this latest Samsung release is the camera. Samsung Galaxy A55 is designed to capture sharper, more vivid photos even in the most adverse lighting conditions thanks to AI Image Signal Processing (ISP). The device also features a new Night Portrait mode and 12-bit HDR video to ensure you always look your best no matter the time.
Finally, these new phones come with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS) to keep your photos and videos sharp even when you’re shooting on the go. I can. Another big change to this year’s A-series is the inclusion of Samsung’s own flagship security protections, Samsung Knox and Knox Vault, for the first time.
