WWE superstar Ricochet is admired by fans for his in-ring acumen and work ethic. But he doesn’t seem to like the internet fans who went to orchestrate a farce regarding Cody Rhodes’ WrestleMania situation.
Cody Rhodes was heavily favored to compete in the main event of WrestleMania 40 against tribal leader Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. His belief was further strengthened when he won the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match and pointed straight at Reigns after the win.
However, this week on SmackDown, the match took a turn as Rose chose Roman Reigns as his opponent. This was followed by The Rock’s return and it became clear that WWE was gearing up for a dream showdown between two of the biggest WWE Superstars of all time in Philadelphia.
Since then, while the internet wrestling community has shown overwhelming support for The American Nightmare, it has also flooded The Rock and WWE in general with a lot of negative and angry comments.
Ricochet took notice of the entire situation and used X to express his opinion. He stated that while he is Cody Rhodes’ biggest supporter, the internet wrestling community is a toxic place to call out their recent actions.
“First of all, let me tell you, there’s no one who supports Cody more than me, so listen up.” @SamanthaBomb Second, you guys showed me that IWC is really harmful (lol).”
Fans have been vocal about Cody Rhodes taking the spotlight at WrestleMania over The Rock, and that’s why WWE’s current creative direction at this year’s Showcase of the Immortals It will be interesting to see if it has an effect on
