Great build and article by Mumbai-based manufacturer indoororgeek (via instructrables):
A few years ago I built an FM radio using a compact RDA5807M module. This is a tuner that delivers FM radio in a small package. It worked well and provided fun for the whole family, but the welcome was below average. To get usable audio from some of the stations, I decided to hang a long wire in the window to enhance reception.
Now, you decide to build another radio, but this time it will be an Internet radio instead of an FM radio. It does not require an antenna and can be placed anywhere in the house. As long as you have good Wi-Fi reception, it should work fine. In addition to regular broadcast stations, there are also many internet streaming stations that you can watch.
