Realme 12+ 5G will launch in India soon, claims to come with features never seen on a smartphone before

Following the launch of Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G in India, Realme is gearing up to release another smartphone. The company has not officially revealed its name yet, but based on last year’s timeline, it is likely to be the Realme 12+ 5G, the successor to the Realme 11 series. Realme is currently teasing the smartphone with the hashtag ‘One More Plus’ and seems to be attacking OnePlus. Considering that Realme had already started the year off pretty well with the Realme 12 Pro series, it will be interesting to see what the Realme 12+ smartphones have to offer.

Previous leaks and rumors suggest that Realme 12+ will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset. As for photography, the smartphone is expected to come with a Sony LYT-600 OIS portrait camera and a 120Hz AMOLED display. According to reports, the phone will come with a whopping 24GB of RAM (possibly expanded RAM with 12GB of onboard RAM memory) and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

Thanks to a microsite currently live on the Realme India website, it has been confirmed that the Realme 12+ will come with a green synthetic leather finish on the back. In fact, at first glance, the device looks a lot like the Realme 12 Pro+, except it lacks all the gold accents found on the Pro series. The microsite also confirms that the Realme 12+ will come with a triple rear camera unit with OIS support. Additionally, Realme claims that the Realme 12+ comes with 12 upgrades never seen on a smartphone before. In fact, Realme claims that this smartphone will come with camera technology that is two years ahead of the technology found in current smartphones.

All the leaks point to a solid phone, and Realme’s claims are very lofty. All that remains is to see if the smartphone can live up to all these claims. More importantly, while we are intrigued by the never-before-seen claims, we are disappointed when the specs turn out to be nothing more than decorations and gimmicks for the phone. Here’s hoping the Realme 12+, which Realme 12 is supposed to come with at launch, is a solid phone. This smartphone is scheduled to be announced on March 6th and we can’t wait to see what we haven’t seen yet.
