As expected, Realme has announced its latest mid-range Android smartphone, the Realme 12 5G. The new device is currently available for purchase in India for as low as $200, but the company is also offering a $25 coupon that brings the price down to below $200.
The Realme 12 5G is quite cheap, but it does come with some decent specs, including a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, 6/8GB RAM, and 128GB internal memory (expandable via microSD card).
According to Realme, this is the first phone to feature the so-called Fast Dynamic Button. This basically means that by pressing the power button, the user can toggle several functions such as DND (Do Not Disturb) mode, camera, flashlight, and airplane mode. , night mode, etc.
Not only that, the power button is also used as a fingerprint sensor, so this is likely to be a very frequently used all-in-one button for Realme 12 5G owners.
The Realme 12 5G has a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 108-megapixel main sensor and a sub-par 2-megapixel depth sensor. There’s also a secondary 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
The newly introduced Realme 12 5G is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging and features a large 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate.
Indian customers can get the Realme 12 5G in two unusual colors: Twilight Purple and Woodland Green. The 8/128GB version of the phone is only $10 more expensive, so it will probably sell much better than the 6/128GB model.
