The first meeting with the Realme 12+ 5G has taken place and now it’s time to get the review treatment.
Let’s first summarize what’s in the box. The phone comes with a silicone case, 67W charger, SIM tool, and cable. We call this thorough retail packaging.
Realme offers the 12+ in two colors. Pioneer Green is a turquoise or teal that we’ve seen before, and the other is Navigator Beige. They both have synthetic leather (or silicone polymer, if you want to get technical) on the back, which I think will be to your tastes, but they’ve proven to be great in terms of grip and handling.
The grip is the same, but the glossy side rails get dirty and greasy after about 10 minutes out of the box, which isn’t ideal.
I have explained the specifications of Realme 12+ in detail several times before, so I will not explain them in detail again. Suffice it to say, it’s one of the best-specced midrangers in its class: a big 6.67-inch 120Hz capable AMOLED. Efficient 6nm Dimensity 7050 chipset – check, big 5,000mAh battery – check. With great features like IP54 splash resistance, stereo speakers, and Android 14 out of the box, you can’t really complain.
The Realme 12+ is available in multiple markets including India, where it starts at INR 20,999 ($255/€230). Stay tuned for our review where we’ll give it a try and see if it’s worth it!
