Rahul Patel, Group General Manager of Connectivity, Broadband and Networking at Qualcomm Technologies, emphasized that 5G mobile networks will soon make mobile phones much cheaper for consumers. Furthermore, he expects 6G to be introduced to the market within at least four to five years.
Stating that 6G can evolve, Patel said: “It will take about 10 years for G to change, but like me, we are in his 5th or 6th year of 5G. Another 4-5, 6 years before 6G comes out. I wouldn’t be surprised if it took longer. However, research and development continues.”
“I think we are deploying 5G terminals and working with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) in India. We are also working with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) in India. “We are working with the top two companies already in India to bring 5G-based broadband to their networks,” he added.
