

CHENNAI – Chipmaker Qualcomm on Thursday announced the opening of a new chip design center in Chennai.
The center has been built with an investment of Rs 100 million. The $177.27 million will be dedicated to wireless connectivity solutions focused on innovations that complement Wi-Fi technology.
It will also create jobs for up to 1,600 skilled technology professionals, open new doors for semiconductor design in line with the government’s ‘Make in India’ vision, and unlock growth opportunities for a strong indigenous design ecosystem. is also expected.

At the inauguration ceremony, Minister of Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnau shared her vision for a digitally empowered India.
