Former President Trump said a photo of a red mark on his hand that sparked speculation online last week may have been the result of artificial intelligence (AI).
President Trump was photographed leaving Trump Tower on January 17, ahead of author E. Jean Carroll’s defamation trial, with what appeared to be red marks on his hands. This led to speculation online and in the media that he had a skin condition, was daubed with red marker, or had a paper cut.

“How’s your hand feeling? It looks better,” Meredith asked.

The two continued their exchange, with Trump asking Meredith what was wrong with her hand the other day. Meredith explained the photo and asked Trump again what the problem with his hands was.
“Nothing. Maybe it was AI,” President Trump responded.
The photo prompted media outlets and late-night TV shows to speculate about the cause of the red marks, including Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show,” which said the likely culprit was that Trump “finger-painted the new president’s face.” They even aired a mock news report joking that “I did something like that.” Wilson, a lawyer and volleyball player. ”
Hosts on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” suggested the red marks could be bloodstains or “magic markers” from slamming the table during a libel trial.
Trump’s campaign denied speculation surrounding the remarks in a statement to The Hill.
Asked for comment, Trump campaign spokesman Stephen Chan said: “The media hysteria and the ridiculous comments from reporters and journalists prove how disingenuous some news organizations have become.” said.
