Word on the water is that Lake Mahopac has become the new hotspot for social media influencers.

Jake Paul takes content creators to popular Putnam County lake

In case you missed it, influencer and boxer Jake Paul made waves in Putnam County last week when the social media star flew out to Petra Island on Lake Mahopac — by helicopter, of course.

Paul and his team at Betr have taken over Massaro House and for the past few days have been calling it Content House.

Hawk-Tur Girl and Sketch have a blast on Lake Mahopac

The summer of 2024 kicked off with a bang with a new slogan and a video that everyone was talking about. In June of this year, a video of 22-year-old Harry Welch was circulating.

You may be familiar with the term “Hawk Tuah.” Followed by “spit on the thing.” If you don’t know what it’s talking about, Google it. It’s safer that way.

Welch appeared on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, at the Bettle Content House in Lake Mahopac.

While on Lake Mahopac, Welch cruised around on a jet ski, threw beer off a boat, got a tattoo, and met another big social media star. If you have kids or any guys between the ages of 16-35, you’ve likely heard the phrase “What up bro?” once or twice, made famous by influencer and streamer Sketch. Welch and Sketch met for the first time on Lake Mahopac. It’s historic! Check out the moment below.

Mets fans furious at internet celebrity’s first pitch

Speaking of Hallie Welch… While in New York, Welch was invited to Citi Field to throw the first pitch at a recent Mets game, but her presence at the game upset Mets fans, who you’d think would have more to be upset about, such as the Mets’ 2-1 loss in a three-game series against the Athletics.

But Mets fans were outraged that Hawk Tua’s little girl threw out the first pitch.

Baseball fans expressed their concern on social media, with Fox News spotting a tweet from X that read, “The Mets decided to have Hawk Toa Girl throw the first pitch during a summer ‘camp day’ game when the majority of the fans are 11 year olds at the ballpark on a camping trip. What were they thinking? Do something better.”

That’s a valid argument, but Welch was there for a good cause: raising money for America’s Vet Dogs, which pairs veterans with dogs.
